Communicator with a focus on web editor

Do you want to be involved in developing the intranet of an authority with a socially important mission? Are you passionate about the role of internal communication in a thriving organization? Do you have experience and skills in working with intranets in a larger organization? Then the position as a communicator with a focus on web editor may be right for you.

About the position

You will enter a phase of intranet development within the Customs Agency where we are reevaluating the purpose of the intranet. We are moving towards a more reasonable and sustainable intranet, which will lead us to communicate changes and, together with the organization, work on the content. You will be a co-creator in this change where you will have the chance to influence and, together with colleagues, find sustainable and agile working methods for what we see will become an even better intranet.

Currently, we are implementing major changes to the intranet's content structure and search functionality.

You will work closely with colleagues who currently manage and drive the development and maintenance of the intranet. The same unit also includes editors for the external website, service designers, language caretakers, and form constructors. And you will naturally work closely with the entire target group consisting of other colleagues at the Customs Agency.

Your main tasks include:

  • working practically with the content on the intranet, both in the web publishing tool and in dialogues with the organization
  • participating and contributing to the development of the intranet, both strategically and operationally
  • participating in ongoing maintenance by monitoring a functional mailbox and managing incoming cases in collaboration with page-responsible colleagues in the organization to keep the intranet updated and relevant
  • working with management communication.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a university or college degree in communication or another relevant education that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • at least three years of experience in strategic and operational work with content on intranets in a larger organization
  • experience in strategic, internal change communication
  • knowledge of digital accessibility and the ability to follow web accessibility guidelines according to WCAG 2.0 AA
  • the ability to follow the principles of plain language and Swedish writing rules
  • experience in writing and working with texts for different target groups
  • very good knowledge of web publishing in Sitevision
  • experience with Sitevision from the last three years
  • experience in search engine optimization
  • very good knowledge of the Office package.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • experience with agile working methods
  • experience in needs and user analyses
  • knowledge or education in the UX field
  • experience in web analysis and web statistics
  • experience in requirements management or testing in digital channels
  • experience working in a government authority.

Personal qualities

Who are you as a person?

  • You are confident and mature in your role as a communicator.
  • You are good at collaborating, you dare to have challenging conversations, and you inspire trust in meetings with others.
  • You are curious and brave and dare to try new things.
  • You are driven by understanding the needs of target groups and finding solutions that create the best possible user experience and business benefit.
  • You are clear with your own ideas but at the same time receptive to other perspectives and good at involving others in dialogue.
  • You work in a structured manner and are good at planning, prioritizing, and delivering on time. At the same time, you have no problem quickly adjusting when circumstances change.
  • You are proactive and goal-oriented and take initiatives that develop the organization towards set goals.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
